Continuing Resolution Budget Update

A continuing resolution is a temporary funding measure that allows to federal funding to continue to flow when congress has not passed a Fiscal Year’s Budget. When this happens Congress will pass an appropriation act to fund federal agencies, but only at the level of the previous Fiscal Year’s funding levels. That means no new procurements (buys) or actions. However, already funded programs, production lines, and sustainment actions are safe. Fiscal Year 2022 is starting under a continuing resolution that won’t allow new programs to start or procurement quantities to increase. This continuing resolution expires on the 3rd of December.

Will Congress pass a Budget before continuing resolution expiration?
