Reducing Barriers For Businesses to Win Federal Contracts

The Outpost is pleased to report that Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks is working with the White House and Small Business Administration to smooth the processes for businesses to enter and win federal contracts. The Defense Department just published in the Federal Register a notice this month requesting information from industry on the “barriers” contractors face. The input from industry will be included in the Department’s small business strategy, which will be published in the next 90 days. Deputy Defense Secretary Hicks said that all federal agencies will triple the contracting goals for small businesses to 15% by 2025.
